I love my Cobalt chest protector, so I was excited to try the Cobalt shins. I was unimpressed. Nothing special, a step down from my Wilsons. Can really feel the hits and little side protection. Not good for High School and up.

Great price for these top notch shin guards.

These fit good and are comfortable. They also work well I’ve had a few hits in them and they are much better than my previous pair.
Questions About This Product
| Q: | I was all set to order a pair of the new All-Star Cobalt leg guards but two of the three initial reviews raise concern about their protective ability. I have small (thin/skinny) lower legs and your product review indicated these would be a good application for this body type. I also planned on using them for both baseball and softball high school level play. Your thoughts? Thank you for your time. – Warren Befort |
| A: | The main reason we suggest this for small legs is that the plastic shell can be widened or curled inward for a tight wrap around feel. There are other more protective styles available. To compare where these rank, read our full Shin Guard Buying Guide. – Brandon LawsonSupport Specialist, Pro Umpire School Graduate and Umpire, Football Official & Basketball Referee |
