I got this for the added protection because the hockey style mask would be too hot for me and I’m very happy with it. Now, does it get warm in there?? Yes. Then again, what isn’t?? But, it fits perfectly and it goes great with my Force3 Defender. The matte finish keeps my mask from moving.

All-Star Cobalt Umpire Skull Cap

I wear a 7 1/2 hat and needed to wear a size Large. Initially tight but formed to my head nicely after a game. Extremely light weight. I use a Force 3 mask and the skull cap mask combo is perfect together. It actually makes the mask feel lighter! Working games in 95+ degrees was actually cooler than my Richardson fitted hat. The hat vents well and the sweat creates a cooling effect on your head. No sweat ran into my eyes throughout each game. Material on the inside managed the sweet extremely well.

All-Star Cobalt Umpire Chest Protector

I wanted a lower profile hardshell and chose this over the Force3 because it was less expensive and I wanted the hardshell on the outside. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs and this protects me well without making me super bulky. I removed the bottom extension the oblique wings and extra shoulder protection to make it as slim as possible. Players in adult league have asked me in surprise if I am well protected with how low profile this looks and I am. I have taken direct fouls back to the chest and shoulder and have felt nothing. If you are a shorter, smaller umpire this is a great choice. Also the inside pads are easy to clean. I throw mine in the washer on the delicate cycle (I do not know if this is recommend but I do it) and then I let them dry at room temperature. I love this chest protector and I could not be any happier with my purchase.
