I wanted to like these, but they’re just a lot. The built-in thigh pads and cup insert sound great in theory, and the overall feel isn’t bad when you first put them on. But over time; especially working multiple plates in a day or back-to-back days, they're just uncomfortable. Protection-wise, they’re okay, but not a game changer. I’ve still taken a couple shots to that area and didn’t notice much of a difference, which is kind of the whole point of wearing them. The biggest issue is maintenance. They’re not easy to wash and dry quickly, which makes it tough during long stretches of games. At the end of the day, getting hit is part of umpiring. While the added padding seems nice, the comfort, upkeep, and limited improvement in protection make this a tough purchase to justify.

I couldn’t have been more disappointed with this product. The sizing is shockingly off. I am a bigger guy at 6’4” but based on what was listed for the sizing the XXL should have fit me like a XXL does for everything else but these were so small I couldn’t even come close to getting them on. It’s even more frustrating that this item can’t be returned so now I simply wasted money on a product that is sized way too small. Don’t make the same mistake I did. If you are at all a bigger guy do not consider this product!!

Have worn them twice to date, will “shape” themselves to your body type, material is smooth, albeit the padding is great, not too thick, protection does not cover your thigh if you're wearing two-part shin guards! Also, I would recommend sizing up if you are blessed with a wide bottom & thick thighs.
Questions About This Product
| Q: | I wear a 34 for my pants. I have tights that are XL. I just want to make sure I don't get the wrong size since these can't be returned. – Daryl Rogers |
| A: | These tights run on the small side. As a 34, we recommend sizing up to a L. If you were to order an XL, you may risk the waistband will bunch up and be too baggy for tights. – Ty UnthankMarketing Specialist, HS & College Umpire |
