I love them. They take a bit of time to REALLY break in but I love the finished and shiny look of the patent leather. They're VERY easy to clean.

They look nice, but, if I wear these more than one game I get blisters on the bottom of my pinky toes.

Looks great. I love the shine. I just need to figure out how to clean them. I only wear them on turf. Safe to go up a 1/2 size if you want to wear extra socks.

The 3N2 REACTION PRO shoes are very comfortable and lightweight. Easy to maintain with cleaning. Highly recommended.

I like these shoes. They look great and are easy to clean. Comfortable right from the box. Other umpires stated that there isn't toe protection. I've yet to experienced that. Remember when you're behind the plate, you take into account that may get hit by a foul tip or a low pitch. Try harder to get to know your catchers and maybe change your stance a little. These umpire plate shoes are great for me.

Comfortable from the first day. They look sharp, and the traction is good. I added an insole, and I could perform 3 plate games a day on these 60-year-old feet.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I'll keep it short. I got hit on a foul tip which landed right on my big toe. Toe turned black. These shoes are suppose to protect you. Might as well be wearing regular shoes.

I don't normally do reviews but I feel like I should with this bad product. These shoes were recommended to me by another umpire. I thought they looked great and were very light weight and comfortable. Then I got hit by a 80 mph fastball. I may as well been have been barefoot. There was zero protection at impact. Toe turned black. I kept wearing them thinking it was a fluke angle. Then I took another shot on the other foot a few weeks later and that is when I threw the shoes in the trash. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Great shoe. Light weight, easy to clean and keep looking sharp. Comfortable, and protects like it should. Best plate umpire shoe I have worn.

Very comfortable shoe, and very light. I wore the mid-cut and low cut New Balance for about 5 years, I'm very happy I made the switch to 3n2. I prefer the low cut 3n2 shoes over the New Balance. They feel lighter and seem to sit lower on my ankles.

Very comfortable and light, didn't feel any different than my regular field shoes.

I love these shoes. The lightest plate shoe, by far. I've taken a ball off the toe on various occasions, no problems. I only wear low cut shoes. And by far, the best around. I have converted about 1/2 of my local umpire association to this shoe.

This is a great looking, light shoe. The patent leather look is impressive and they're easy to keep clean. The traction on these shoes is excellent as well.

This is a very good shoe. I am a huge fan of 3n2 and I think their product here is great. I’ve only used these shoes for a season, but I think that they have held up very well against wear. The carbon fiber toe box is great. I’ve taken several shots off both the metatarsal guard and the carbon fiber toe at relatively high speed and I haven’t felt a thing. Also, though look is secondary to comfort, the patent leather is very convenient and easy to shine. 5 stars from me!

Very comfortable umpire plate shoe. I have the patent leather for the look and ease of keeping clean. This is my second pair and highly recommend.

I love the patent look, easy to clean too. These shoes are lightweight and easy on and off. Order one half to one size up as these run small.

Excellent shoe, very comfortable. But I agree, buy a half size larger, they run a little small.

Great plate umpire shoes. They run like 0.5 smaller than your real size so I would suggest purchasing bigger!

Great umpire plate shoes.

The shoe size is 1/2 too small. Wear a 9, buy a 9.5. The shoe is also narrow. I have average foot but deemed that being uncomfortable just wearing around the house for 15 minutes vs 2 hours behind a hot plate was not worth the investment. Returned. Hated to do it because it looks really good but didn't work for me.

I appreciate the lightweight style and I love the traction and look of the shoe. I am able to get out from behind the plate with cat like reflexes. I have not had any instances were I was hit and the shoe did not absorb the blow. I believe they are more than adequate for most levels of baseball and I find myself wearing them more than any other shoe I have. I guess time will tell how durable and truly protective they are. Up to now I feel they were a great investment.

I feel these are comfortable and lightweight. I wore them everyday for about 15-16 days during a tournament in Florida. The advantages you gain can be offset by lack of protection at the upper levels. I enjoy the look of the shoe, and the bottom gives great traction. However, I was hit in the upper toe, instep, and lower ankle. The upper toe shot should have been protected by the thermo-molded toe, but it split my toenail. The instep shot left a tiny bruise, because it hit in a bald spot where the toe plate and carbon fiber plate did not cover. The lower ankle was tender for 2-3 days due to the low-cut shoe and Force3 shinguard not meeting. These were three specific shots, but I decided to relegate these shoes to High School ball or below. In summation, these are much more comfortable and lighter than the New Balance low-cut patent leather, but you do sacrifice a bit of safety.
