Mizuno Ambition 3 All-Surface All-Black Low-Cut Field Shoes

I purchased these Mizuno shoes because of baseball. I absolutely love the plate shoes. These field shoes look good and are light weight. However, they did hurt my feet. I will keep them, hoping they break in more. But I have wore them for 10 games already.

The shoes are lightweight and stylish, but the material seems cheap and the insoles are not very comfortable. What really upsets me is that they are impossible to clean. After the first wear, the shoes are permanently dusky and seem like they've been worn for over a year. I've tried everything to clean them; soapy water, leather cleaner, shoe shine, even the cheap scrubbing bubbles method. The shoes have permanently lost their shine. These would probably be good shoes for artificial turf only, but not if you work a lot on grass / dirt fields.

So far, no issues. I bought these as a backup to my UA pair with white trim, mostly to use on dirt fields for easier cleaning. Upper part above the sole is a little stiff but that's on purpose. Less fabric, more plastic/shell. Feels solid, supportive, I wore high-knee socks, no issue with it digging into my ankles or skin. Molded traction support is great, and they still feel really light. I'll wear these as alternates for summer tournaments too. I am very happy so far, for the price.

Very comfortable. I've had zero issues on turf and dirt.

Fit is right, light weight and fairly comfortable. The shoe is a rubbery like texture and was water tight walking through damp/wet dewy grass and kept my feet dry. Looks like a damp cloth will do fine to clean them up but haven't gotten that far yet. Fine shoe for umpiring bases.

Did not work for me. The stock insole is flat and provided no cushion, not comfortable. I always had foot fatigue after just a single game on dirt or turf. I bought inserts to replace the stock insole and it helped slightly. The outer sole doesn't help much either and I felt every rock, contour etc on a dirt/grass field. They are very light and easy to clean though. I prefer light, easy to clean with a supportive, cushioned soles. I am 6'1 210, 13D fit ok, but they are kind made kind of narrow.

These Mizuno shoes look good and feel great. I would recommend them.

Really enjoying these new shoes. Have been breaking them in before the regular season starts. Very light. Very comfortable. They look sharp.

Try these on and your feet instantly go to heaven. Can’t wait to put some miles on these.

Good light shoe that holds up being a larger guy.

The shoes are not bad at all. Biggest positive about them is they are light and I have solid traction on dirt, grass and artificial turf. I was concerned that the insoles might be an issue as they didn’t seem high quality but my feet never hurt because of them even on two day tournaments. I might still replace the insoles however with something that might give better arch support. The pictures are unclear on the strip that goes around the toe and down the sides adjacent to the soles. They looked ribbed. However, they are not ribbed. They are smooth. They clean up decent with a wipe down but don’t expect a polished shine. Matte black.

Good shoe for football! These have great traction so far, we will see how they do in rain and snow later this year. I like the band of rubber around the shoe, it keeps the dew off and hopefully the rain as well. They fit true to sizing, some other brands run small. Insoles are comfy and after 7 games they are holding up well.

Finally found shoes that I can wear in the rain. No mesh top. Yea. They are a bit narrow, but still allowed me to put insoles in them.

I never have owned Mizuno shoes before. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have umpired in. They are great looking, fit true to size, and ready to be on my feet all day and night. I definitely recommend these shoes!

Purchased these during post season! Prolly the most comfortable base shoe that I have. I will make them last for a while being that I still have a pair of new Under Armor that I wear but these will be worn on the higher level games!

These shoes are the best base shoes I’ve ever had. I have worn the New Balance and also the Under Armor. I would say these are the highest quality shoes on the market right now! They feel great on turf or dirt.

These are great shoes. A true step up from the 3N2 I have been using. I have worn them for several games now and they still feel new. My only complaint is the laces do not feel as strong as I would like and I had to replace them. The shoes flex well. I do not feel like my foot is sliding, and have a nice overall comfort.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have worn. Feels like you’re walking on clouds in bare feet. Both plate and base shoes are great for those long days of 6-8 games in a row. Won’t buy anything else. Just wish both came in all black including the logo.

The shoes are comfortable and easy to take care of.

Nice shoe. Light and comfortable to wear and clean up easily. My only wish is that the black shoes came in a mid cut.
